I don’t think I will do this hike but I want to keep it here for reference. Perhaps in the future when I become insane I would consider a hike like this.

Warning, This trail seems to be extremely dangerous, you must prepare thoroughly

  • Tupso Pass Road is washed out 4.8 miles in and is closed past Canyon Creek bridge (8 miles from the trailhead) - Consider Biking to the trail head
  • drones are prohibited from being launched, landed or controlled in the Boulder River Wilderness
  • Trail snow-covered at times - gear and expertise recommended
  • rail difficult/impossible to navigate: Trees down across trail, Overgrown in places.
  • The ladders below the lookout were encased in snow and ice. A fall here would be fatal. We set up anchors and ascended with ropes.
  • Only Hike late Summer
